Midnight rising Why Oh Why Part TwoIt was midnight and I was with the boys and Jane doing surveillance in the narrows.
We where split into two teams, the narrows was an island smack bang in the middle of Gotham City. While midtown and downtown gotham was pristine and amazingly modern the narrows was anything but modern.
It reminded me of the red light district of old town, with all its shanty towns, decaying and dilapidated buildings and in the middle of it all was Arkham Asylum the home of Gotham City's most dangerous and insane criminals which made me feel a tad uneasy as I have had some experience of being in there for another mission which went very badly for me, I hoped this time around I wouldn't get injured or cattle prodded.
I was on foot with David, Jane and Michael while Tristan and Micah were in the SUV. We all knew the Batman was on patrol at this time of the night, so we knew that if any trouble happened we had additional back up.

I shivered, knowing when Bruce asks for a favor it would involve either a visit from the Batman or I had to go to Gotham for an eradication operation as he knew I was immortal.
While I didn't mind using my supernatural abilities, Eleanor had no clue as to what I was let alone what the Illicit information Bureau dealt with on a regular basis. I don't think Bruce ever told her as he knew discretion was important in joint ventures such as ours.
